Myspace after Malevich: White Text Fields on White Background
This work posted in mid 2006 is a continuation of my explorations into
soft space and performance in the virtual realm. So much of our lives
at this point in time are mediated by the internet that I feel it is
pertinent to begin exploring how we can create work and comment on the
way in which we have begun to communicate with each other through
digital media. This piece is a reaction to the proliferation of
personal myspace pages that allow the user to customise the way their
own pages look in certain limited ways. It is an attempt to create a
minimalist version of a myspace page.
